SELLER-DIRECTED FLOW

From authorization to a confirmed listing task.

The workflow keeps the connected seller in control and performs listing work only through Etsy's official Open API.

  1. Create your account

Register with your name, email address and a password of at least 12 characters. Your workspace data remains separated from every other member.

  2. Connect your shop

Select “Connect your Etsy shop” and complete authorization on Etsy. The application never asks for your Etsy password.

  3. Prepare the draft

Create a local draft for the shop you authorized.

  4. Enter listing information

Provide the title, description, images, price, quantity, SKU, taxonomy, shipping profile and processing profile required by the V1 physical-listing flow.

  5. Review the task

Check the destination shop, selected listing, proposed changes and the type of API work required before confirming.

  6. Perform the confirmed task

One confirmation starts only the related API calls required for that defined task. Creating a draft, uploading images and applying inventory may be separate Etsy API calls.

  7. Report and refresh

The application reports success or failure and refreshes the displayed Etsy data so the seller can verify the result.

  8. Disconnect when needed

Disconnecting stops future API access and begins the token and cache deletion process described in the Privacy Policy.

Seller responsibility

The seller decides what to submit and remains responsible for ensuring that every product and listing complies with Etsy's Creativity Standards, Prohibited Items Policy, intellectual-property rules and other seller obligations.
